Who is Delaney?

Born in Alaska and raised in Washington, I’m a true Pacific Northwesterner through and through—with the coffee addiction to prove it. As a kid, I spent much of my time in dance classes and at softball practice. In my teens, my focus shifted toward civic engagement; thanks in part to my older brother, who convinced me to join the YMCA's Youth and Government Youth Legislature.

I went on to study at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia, which I fell in love for its community, professors, and campus. I was heavily involved in the College of Business, Marketing Club, Annual Giving Office, and NEST (an early-arrival program for first years). Some of my favorite electives included Global Issues in Literature and Intro to Feminism. When I wasn't studying or working on a group project, you could find me at the campus gym dancing my heart out in a Zumba class. After I earned my Bachelor's degree in December of 2019, I returned to the Seattle area.

Beyond my work, I love sewing, baking, and spending way too much time curating ideas on Pinterest. When I’m not working on a creative project, you’ll probably find me completely absorbed in fantasy novel. I also have a soft spot for puzzle games and mysteries—whether it’s tackling an escape room or nerding out over Nancy Drew, I can’t resist a good challenge. I also spend a good chunk of my time volunteering as a Seattle Pedestrian Advisory Board Member and as a Youth and Government Advisor.
